Maven’s peer-to-peer car sharing service will expand to 10 cities in the next few months General Motors is expanding its peer-to-peer car-sharing service to 10 cities by the end of this year, the company announced today. The service, which is part of GM’s mobility arm Maven, launched this summer and is already live in Ann Arbor and Detroit, Michigan, along with Chicago and Denver. By the end of 2018, GM says, it will be available in Baltimore, Boston, Washington, DC, Jersey City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco as well.Maven’s peer-to-peer service allows owners to rent their cars by the hour or daily, and they get a 60 percent cut of the cost of each rental. The company says this can add up to hundreds — in some cases thousands — of dollars per month, depending on what car they have and how often they make it available. Bajaj Auto is working on adding a single-channel ABS to the Pulsar 160 NS. The Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 with ABS will be launched in October 2018, according to MotorOctane. Apart from the addition of the single-channel ABS system, there won’t be any major mechanical changes on the motorcycle. Bajaj could add daytime running LEDs, revise graphics and the paint scheme. The motorcycle takes on the Suzuki Gixxer 160, the Yamaha FZ-S, the TVS Apache RTR 160 and the Honda Hornet CB160R in the Indian market. It’s currently priced at around Rs. 82,000, ex-showroom Delhi. The addition of a single-channel ABS is expected to push up cost by at least Rs. 10,000. The Pulsar NS 160 ABS will continue to use the 160cc, four stroke oil cooled engine with Bajaj’s triple spark plug ignition technology. Ather Energy, an IT Madras based electric mobility start-up, has just launched two new electric scooters, the 340 and 450. After successfully bringing its first electric scooters to the market, Ather is now aiming a lot higher. The start-up will soon begin work on a high performance electric motorcycle, which will be launched in about two years from now. Tarun Mehta, co-founder of Ather Energy, has just revealed this in an interview to the  TimesOfIndia .
